About
Koji Kishita is a photographer based in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan.
Since 2017, he has been working on the long-term project The Last Dune.
His practice centers on the relationship between landscape and human presence. Returning repeatedly to the same coastal dune, he photographs individuals within a gradually transforming environment.
Over eight years, the project has developed through sustained observation rather than spectacle. The structure remains restrained: sand, sky, and a single figure.
His work was selected for the National & Regional Awards (Japan) at the Sony World Photography Awards 2021. It has also been featured in Japanese newspapers, television, and radio, and exhibited four times within the dune itself, with two additional site-specific installations presented in the same landscape.

キシタコージは、静岡県浜松市を拠点に活動する写真家。
2017年より長期プロジェクト「The Last Dune」に取り組んでいる。
作品は、風景と人間の存在の関係を主題とする。
同じ海岸砂丘に通い続け、変化していく環境の中に立つ人を撮影してきた。
8年間の継続は、劇的な演出ではなく観察の積み重ねによって形成されている。
砂と空、そして一人の存在という最小限の構造を保っている。
2021年、Sony World Photography Awards ナショナル＆リージョナルアワード（日本部門）に入選。
作品は新聞・テレビ・ラジオで紹介され、砂丘内での展示を4回、同地でのインスタレーションを2回行っている。
